Ethical spaces and places: Indigenous cultural safety in British Columbia health care

This article uses the examples from the National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health (NCCAH) and British Columbia-based Northern Health (NH) to highlight the interface between Indigenous and non-Indigenous knowledges and ways of being and doing related to health and wellness. The authors define and show how the practice of cultural safety, Two-Eyed Seeing, and ethical space can be transformational in making healthcare settings safer, more accessible, and healing for Indigenous peoples to improve their health and well-being outcomes.
