The authors explore how physical literacy - a key aspect of improving health and wellness outcomes for children - is actualized in Indigenous early childhood education. They explore this topic through a case study of a culturally rooted, interdisciplinary, and community-based physical literacy initiative in Saskatoon and discuss how physical literacy can function as an important protective factor for Indigenous preschool-aged children's wholistic wellness.
