This fact sheet applies key lessons learned from responding to the HIV/AIDs epidemic about stigma and discrimination to the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. These include not being judgmental, minding your language, developing a rights-based response, protecting jobs and livelihoods, engaging with affected communities, respecting confidentiality, and sharing positive stories to humanize COVID-19.
