Description

This article explores the association between self-reported diabetes, fish consumption, and serum levels of organochlorines in a First Nations community in the Sioux Lookout Zone of northern Ontario. Findings support the hypothesis that environmental exposure to organochlorines is associated with increased risk of diabetes but that consuming trout and white fish may help reduce that risk.
