This study was undertaken to provide answers to the Swan River First Nation about the safety of consuming locally harvested moose as a result of concentrations of contaminants released from the Alberta Special Waste Treatment Centre. The study sampled concentrations of contaminants in samples of moose muscle, liver, and kidney, and assessed risks to human health using hazard quotients.
