Description

This report is part of a five-year project aimed at reducing barriers for Indigenous women and their children accessing transition houses and safe homes in BC, through the development and adoption of culturally respectful policies and practices. The intention of this project is to pilot the Cedar Blankets service delivery model in four sites. This literature review provides the evidence base foundation and framework for the Cedar Blankets project, focusing on the current issues facing Indigenous women and girls in BC and what is known about Indigenous women's access to transition houses and safe homes.
