Description

The authors analyzed the microbiological quality of drinking and source water from three First Nations communities in Manitoba, each of which relied on different water sources. The study found that while water treatment plants were working well, once the water entered a distribution system, an increase in bacterial counts was observed, highlighting the need for proper maintenance of the distribution and storage systems in First Nations communities.
