This document discusses ethics principles in the context of a pandemic and the goals of an ethical framework, then presents an ethical framework for midwives in Ontario that enables them to make ethical decisions during the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to the allocation of scarce resources, restriction of individual client choices and putting themselves or others at risk of infection.
