Improving access to preventive services for marginalized families during early childhood: An integrative review of inter-organizational integration interventions

2009

Smith, D., Peterson, W.E., Jaglarz, M., & Doell, K.

Description

The authors use an integrative review method to identify and describe inter-organizational interventions that aim to improve access to preventive services by marginalized families. The interventions are classified as relational or structural. The review found that few of these types of interventions exist, and most emphasize structural factors. The authors suggest that a combination of both structural- and relational-focused strategies may have a greater impact on improving access to preventive services for marginalized families.
