Description

Using a cross-sectional population health and nutrition survey, the authors aim to identify contemporary dietary patterns among Inuit from Nunavut and investigate their association with cardiovascular disease outcomes. The study identifies three dietary patterns (market food, country food-fat, and country food-fish) for which associations with the prevalence of coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, stroke, hyperlipidemia, and hypertension are explored.
