Description

This text summary of a presentation highlights findings from a research project studying the experiences of early childhood disability among Constance Lake First Nation children in northern Ontario. The study aimed to identify how the support service system functions for families with children with disabilities; whether Indigenous frameworks of child development, wellness, disability, and healing are taken into consideration within interventions provided to families; and how children and families are impacted through interactions with the service system.
