This webinar, presented by Alison Gerlach, explores how children’s rehabilitation and early intervention therapy services with Indigenous children, families and communities can be provided in culturally safe ways. The webinar provides a critical analysis of the concept of ‘children’s rehabilitation’ in Indigenous contexts in Canada, enhances understanding of how children’s rehabilitation programs and practices with Indigenous communities, families and children can be responsive to historical and ongoing effects of colonization, and reviews current practices that are aligned with principles of cultural safety.
