This tri-lateral memorandum of understanding is a landmark step toward reconciliation. It commits First Nations and federal/provincial governments to work together to coordinate health and social services in Alberta, address gaps and share information to ensure that First Nations children in Alberta can access the supports and services they need when they need them, including mental health supports, speech therapy and educational supports.
