Description

This community-based participatory study involving Inuit residents of Nain, Nunatsiavut explored their perceptions of the role, importance, and safety of country foods. While residents had extremely positive views about country foods and their importance to health and well-being, they expressed concerns about the expansion of industrial activities and environmental contamination in the North and the impact of these activities on animals and the food harvested from them.
