Description

This report responds to recommendations made by the Canadian Environmental Research Council on how governments and industries address potential health impacts of industrial developments in northern regions of Canada. Using the case study of the Sagkeeng First Nation of Manitoba, it examines the cultural basis of risk perception and the importance of local knowledge in changing the assessment and management of health risks.
