2015

Public Health Agency of Canada

Description

This document provides a brief summary of findings from the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC) parent/caregiver study, conducted by the Public Health Agency of Canada in 2015. The study aimed to identify the demographic and risk profile of CAPC respondents; the extent to which they and their children gained development in knowledge, skills and health behaviours that support maternal, child and family health; whether improvements gained in knowledge, skills and health behaviours were related to the level of participant exposure to the program; and the extent to which CAPC projects implemented practices that help parents and children feel welcomed and respected.
