Description

This article explores practices that promote a positive sense of First Nations identity and provide culturally safe care for urban First Nations men. The study found that having mentors, knowing family histories, and connecting with healthy Indigenous communities supported clients' First Nations identity and well-being and that nursing education must focus on strengths-based and decolonizing frameworks, as well as reflexive practices that promote culturally safe care.
