This article describes three interconnected, multidisciplinary research projects that investigated environmental health issues faced by First Nations in Canada. The first gathered information on the consumption of traditional foods, their contributions to nutrition, and the risks these foods posed for human health from exposure to chemical contaminants. The second was a biomonitoring project and the third focused on indoor air quality.
