Description

The authors undertook a systematic review of the literature on Indigenous health outcomes, determinants and trends, using a vulnerability framework, to identify the broad level factors that increase the sensitivity of Indigenous communities to climate change and constrain their capacity to adapt to these changes. The authors argue that broader determinants of socio-economic and health inequality for Indigenous Peoples must be addressed in order to reduce their vulnerability to climate change and prevent, reduce, and manage climate-sensitive health outcomes.
