Association of Blood Polychlorinated Biphenyls and Cholesterol Levels among Canadian Inuit

2018

Singh, K., & Chan, H.M.

Description

Drawing on data from the Inuit Health Survey (2007-2008) in the Canadian Arctic, the authors seek to determine whether the presence of polychlorinated biphenyls in the blood is associated with hypercholesterolemia and other factors risk of cardiovascular disease. Although some associations have been confirmed, further research is needed to establish the causal link of these relationships.
