The authors assessed the trend over time in concentrations of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and metals among the Inuit of Greenland for the period 1994 to 2015. The results revealed a downward trend in POPs and regulated metals , but a potentially increasing trend in unregulated PFAS, highlighting the need for continued biomonitoring of contaminants of concern for the protection of the health of Arctic populations.
