Biography of Melanie Morningstar, member of the Advisory Committee

30 years of advancing First Nations children's health as well as home and community care

Melanie Morningstar is a member of Garden River First Nation, Ontario. She is currently the Associate Director of Health at the Assembly of First Nations, where she has worked for over thirty years, holding files in Children’s Health and Home and Community Care.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/Anthropology from Carleton University and is a proud mother and grandmother.
