This document outlines how the CIHI will support First Nations, Inuit, and Métis health priorities and data sovereignty through four key approaches: 1) develop foundational capacity within the CIHI to promote cultural safety and humility; 2) build relationships and partnerships at all levels with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis; 3) develop a respectful approach to the governance of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis health data housed at CIHI; and 4) enable actionable analyses and capacity-building through collaboration with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis.
