Description

This study sought to explore the social and political factors that affect access to priamry care for Indigenous women attending emergency departments for health issues triaged as stable or not urgent, using cultural safety as an analytical lens. Four themes were identified related to safe places to live, pain management, trauma-informed care, perceptions of discrimination and racism in healthcare encounters.
