2009

Su, M.

Description

Using cultural safety as an analytical lens, this study sought to explore the social and political factors that affect access to primary care for Indigenous women attending emergency departments for health issues triaged as stable or not urgent. Four themes were identified related to safe places to live, pain management, trauma-informed care, perceptions of discrimination and racism in healthcare encounters.
