Description

In this paper, the authors describe the history of the national park proposal and the nature of the relationship between parks and protected areas and Indigenous and local communities. They then examine perceived and desired community benefits, including the preservation, revitalization, and strengthening of local culture, from the creation of a new national park in the traditional territory of the Lutsel K'e Dene First Nation.
