This report presents findings from research related to Indigenous early language promotion and early intervention. It aims to address four research questions: 1) what is important for ensuring optimal development of Indigenous children's speech, language and literacy?, 2) what are Indigenous children's needs and what strategic interventions may be developed?, 3) what programs exist to facilitate optimal development of Indigenous children's speech, language and literacy?, and 4) what unique challenges do Indigenous children face with regards to early language promotion and early intervention?
