Description

The author undertakes a review of the literature examining how cultural safety can help reduce barriers to accessing HIV/AIDS treatment services among urban Aboriginal people in Vancouver. It discusses key organizational initiatives to provide culturally appropriate health care in Vancouver and presents a preliminary organizational self-assessment tool that can be used in the application of cultural safety within organizations.
