Description

The authors investigated the association between maternal exposure to persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and fetal growth alteration among Inuit pregnant women in Greenland and other European populations. The study found that in utero exposure to POPs may reduce birth weight and gestational age of newborns; however, results varied across geographic regions.
