Description

This article compares birth outcomes in Inuit-inhabited areas with the rest of Canada and other rural and northern areas of Canada on measures of preterm birth, stillbirth and infant death. The study found that Inuit-inhabited areas had much higher rates of these measures compared to the rest of Canada and other rural and northern areas, highlighting an urgent need for more effective interventions to improve maternal and infant health in these areas.
