Description

In this commitment, the SHA acknowledges the impact of residential schools on individuals, families, communities, and nations, and embraces diversity in the provincial health system. It commits to increasing the number of Indigenous employees within the Health Authority, increasing cultural responsiveness and cultural training opportunities, finding constructive ways to implement the TRC’s Calls to Action that are relevant to health and healthcare, and establishing appropriate data infrastructure in collaboration with Indigenous leaders and communities.
