This report presents findings from a series of meetings held across Canada with health care providers, managers and researchers to learn about culturally safe environments for urban Indigenous peoples accessing health services. Participants were asked for their perspectives on what cultural competency and safety look and feel like in healthcare and about programs that are creating cultural safety at the system level and within professions for Indigenous peoples. The report lists innovative practices and strategies currently in development.
