National Native Addictions Partnership Foundation
Developed in consultation with community members, treatment centre workers, community-based addiction workers, health administrators, First Nations leadership, Elders, provincial service providers, researchers, and policy makers, this document presents a renewed approach for community, regional, and national responses to substance use issues among First Nations people. The framework outlines a continuum of care to respond to substance use issues based on the provision of culturally-relevant and appropriate services and supports that is meant to guide the delivery, design, and coordination of services at all levels.
