Description

The authors provide an overview of how the physical environment is a determinant of health for Indigenous Peoples and highlight the importance of integrating local traditional knowledge into environmental decision-making as a necessary step towards improving Indigenous health. They propose an Indigenous-centred policy framework based on increased Indigenous participation in environmental decision-making for achieving this outcome.
