Thorpe, A., Yashadhana, A., Biles, B., Munro-Harrison, E., & Kingsley, J.

Oxford University Press

Description

The authors discuss how connection to country is central to Indigenous health globally and why models for measuring and understanding health outcomes for Indigenous Peoples must move from Western biomedical models of health, which focus on individual risk behaviours and disease outcomes, towards models that respectfully incorporate the full range of holistic determinants that are relevant to Indigenous health.
