This article describes the linguistic results of the Mnidoo Mnising Anishinabek Kinoomaage Gaming (MMAK) Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) early language immersion school on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. The article describes the development of the MMAK and its successes and challenges, then discusses linguistic outcomes using assessment data from kindergarten students. The authors conclude by exploring how Indigenous language immersion can be a tool for revitalizing languages in other communities.
