Left Out: Children and youth with special needs in the pandemic

2020

Representative for Children and Youth

Description

This report presents findings from a consultation exercise with families, family networks and community advocacy organizations in BC to understand the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on children and youth with special needs and their families. The report highlights how historically inequitable services, especially for children and youth with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and complex behavioural needs, are exacerbated by the impacts of COVID-19.
