This qualitative study explores the protective factors to Indigenous children's development in Tambellup, a small town in Western Australia. The study highlighted widespread trust and positive relationships in the community, community capacity to respond to local needs and challenges, effective communication channels, sense of pride, belonging and connectedness, and high quality services and staff as key factors that promoted child and youth wellbeing in the community.
