Offered by the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, this online cultural safety training program is designed for service providers working with Indigenous Peoples in Manitoba to improve their ability to develop and deliver culturally safe care. The training enables participants to learn about the concept of culture, cultural diversity, and the impact of colonization; gain an understanding of health disparities, social determinants of health, the importance of cultural safety for Indigenous Peoples, and the potential role of culture and Indigenous healing in patient care; and explore personal cultural assumptions, beliefs and attitudes with respect to Indigenous Peoples.
