This short report provides an analysis of cord blood lead concentration from samples collected over a three year period among Inuit newborns from Nunavik. Findings suggest that lead shots used for game hunting were an important source of lead exposure in the Inuit population, as evidenced by the significant decrease of cord blood lead concentration after a public health intervention to reduce the use of lead shot.
