Description

In this doctoral study, the author uses a postcolonial feminist theoretical framework to examine the sociocultural context of nursing education to answer two research questions. The first focuses on how practices, programs, and policies coordinate social relations within the institution of nursing education, while the second examines how Indigenous students' everyday lives are shaped by the institution of nursing education. The dissertation offers insight into challenges faced in retaining Indigenous students in health education programs.
