This study investigated associations between exposure to organochlorine with incidence of infectious diseases in breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding Inuit infants from Nunavik, including acute otitis media, pulmonary infections, pharyngitis/tonsilitis, flu, conjunctivitis, pnemonia, bronchitis/broncheolitis, and skin infections. The study found that prenatal organochlorine exposure could be a risk factor for acute otitis media in Inuit infants.
