EHP Publishing

Description

The authors draw on data from a 2016-2017 community health assessment combined with biomonitoring data from government surveillance programs (1970-1997) to examine the possible contribution of mercury exposure on attempted suicides among current children and youth from the Grassy Narrows First Nation. The authors identify high rates of ever having attempted suicide among current children and youth, and two pathways that significantly linked grandparents and mothers to these attempted suicides.
