This webinar focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Indigenous populations in Canada, how health systems have responded, and lessons learned about what works and doesn't work in provincial and local responses. Speaker Dr. Evan Adams spoke about how First Nations communities responded to the pandemic and the need to incorporate Indigenous perspectives on health and wellness in developing a strategy to re-open during Wave 2, while Dr. Lisa Richardson spoke about the strengths of Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous approaches to well-being that have helped them respond effectively to the pandemic.
