The author conducted an ecological analysis to examine the association between COVID-19 case rates and socioeconomic and infrastructure characteristics at the community level, comparing First Nations and non-First Nations communities in Manitoba. Variables analyzed included unsuitable housing, average household size, major housing repairs needed, access to a service centre, proximity to a hospital, median after-tax income, and college degree or higher.
