The authors undertook a systematic review of the literature to explore Indigenous narrative accounts of accessing healthcare to better understand Indigenous views of culturally safe health care and health communication. The review highlighted the importance of talk during Indigenous clients' interactions with the healthcare system and discussed ways to improve Indigenous accessibility and engagement with healthcare services through good talk.
