Released in August 2019, this plan identifies 70 action items for improving the Child and Family Services System and achieving better outcomes for children, youth, and their families in the Northwest Territories. The plan focuses on 10 priority areas: system improvements, prevention services, cultural safety and respect, foster care services, investigations, structured decision making®, case management and permanency planning, specialized placement services, and accountability structure.
