Canadian Cancer Society
In 2019, the Canadian Cancer Society started the Underserved Communities project, with the purpose to identify communities facing specific barriers to accessing cancer information and support services and enhance understanding of the gaps and challenges such communities face. The ultimate goal of the project is to make recommendations to the Canadian Cancer Society for addressing these barriers. The Indigenous communities chapter highlights the key challenges facing Indigenous Peoples in Canada and outlines opporutnities for addressing them.
