Description

Developed as part of the Manitoba Indigenous Tuberculosis History Project's Missing Patients Initiative, this guide is intended to assist Indigenous families and communities in searching for their loved ones who were sent to Indian Hospitals and sanatoriums across Manitoba during the 1930s to 1960s and never returned home again. It provides tips for conducting research and accessing records related to Indigenous TB-related burials, as well as information about hospitals in Manitoba that were treating Indigenous TB patients over the relevant time frame.
