This paper examines how the perceptions of service providers affect Aboriginal women's experiences with accessing preventive care during pregnancy and parenting in an urban setting. The study highlights the need to examine how perceptions of Aboriginal womens' identities shape issues of oppression and discrimination in healthcare encounters.
