The authors describe the development of single-access programs that meet the needs of pregnant and early parenting women who use alcohol and other substances in four different communities in Canada. They discuss some of the elements that make these programs successful, including engagement and outreach, harm reduction, cultural safety, supporting mother and child, and partnerships.
